What I Got From IMATS (and swatches!)

Hey guys, sorry for the delay in getting this published. You can tell from the title what this post is about. I'm excited to share with you guys what I bought from IMATS and what I think so I hope you guys enjoy this post :)

The products I got are mostly for the eyes, which is unlike me because I'm more towards lip products but it's good because I get to expand my eye makeup collection haha.

Sidenote, all the pictures below are unedited just because I want the colors to stay as true as possible (well as true as it can be through a camera lens because I know that in pictures and in real life it can look different). If some pictures look brighter than others that's because of the lightning in my room and I apologize for that.

I bought two makeup brush sets from Royal and Langnickel and I remember they were selling them for GBP25 each. I bought one for myself and the other for my sister who was searching for a makeup brush set. She - as far as I know - doesn't even have a proper makeup brush let alone a set of them so I know she'll love this.

I've used their brushes before but have never owned any until now. The brush hairs are really soft and I like that.

This is the brush set that I will be giving to my sister. I'm sure she won't mind that I opened them before she did lol.

Somehow in pictures you can't really see the colored tip

In this picture you can see it better but it still looks really pale but in real life the color is more visible.

L-R : Hotsy Totsy, Frostine, Kitten Parade, CandyCrush

L-R : Hotsy Totsy, CandyCrush, Frostine, Kitten Parade.

They are very shimmery, bright and pigmented. They don't feel powdery at all.
Hotsy Totsy is probably the least shimmery eyeshadow in the palette. Frostine and Kitten Parade are beautiful shades. Kitten Parade kinda looks similar to an eyeshadow from the Kat Von D eyeshadow palette that I own but I'm not sure, I'll have to swatch them side by side and see.

I was really tempted to get Penelope and Charmy but I thought I'd get colors that I wouldn't usually get so I can experiment. Strangeling is a beautiful color as well.

Top - Bottom : Countess, Mint Soda.

I rarely use loose eyeshadows but these looked so good and so bright that I had to get them. I'm really excited to use them.

Lit Cosmetics

My camera had a hard time focusing when I zoomed in because it's glitter. I think videos would capture them better as you can see how it looks like when light shines on it.

Champagne Wishes

Love Me Tender

Modern Love

The lit kit comes with a mini brush and their liquid glitter base. It's really easy to use, just dip the mini brush into the liquid and then you dip the brush into the glitter and apply on your eyelids (I've seen people applying it on their lips too).

And they are stackable! Pretty handy for me as it saves up space on my desk. I tried to align them so that the names would be on one side but Champagne Kisses somehow wouldn't lock in place.

There are two brands that I had never heard of before and I thought I'd give their products a try and they are Stargazer and Kiss Cosmetics. Stargazer had a huge range of pencil eyeliner/lip liner colors. I bought 6 pencil liners, 3 are glitter pencils and the other 3 are kohl.

L - R : Blue, Flush, Gold, 21, 40, 39.

They also had lipsticks but I only bought one because I wasn't sure whether I would like it or not.

It feels creamy and not drying.

Aside from the lipstick from Stargazer, the only other lip product that I bought is a liquid lipstick from Kiss Cosmetics. Their liquid lipsticks to me feel more like lip gloss because it has that stickiness, which doesn't bother me.  I kinda bought it because I forgot to bring a pink toned lipstick with me and that reason was good enough for me to buy it and try it out. So far I have no complaints about this product. It does emphasize the dry skin on my lips if I don't scrub and moisturize my lips beforehand but most lip products do anyway.

That's it for this post! I'm looking forward to using all of them and once I've used them enough to form a solid opinion, I'll share it in a future post. I recently purchased some of Makeup Revolution's Salvation Velvet Lip Lacquers so my next post will be swatches of those. I'm aiming to do that some time next week without any delays *fingerscrossed .

Till the next post!
