Domestic violence

found out yesterday on instagram that Christy Mack got beaten up by her ex-boyfriend Jonathan Koppenhaver. She posted a picture of her in the hospital and her face oh my god... Its really bad. What happened to her is horrible. She has 18 broken bones and needs like $100 000 for reconstructive surgery. Below is her statement as to what happened, she posted it on her twitter.

Christy released her statement about what happened the night she was assaulted and Jon tweeted his side of the story and the two cannot be anymore different. I feel ,like there's more to the story? Maybe, possibly. Or maybe Jon's tweet is just plain rubbish and he is just trying to defend himself whatever means possible. The fact that he has been arrested before and is so 'alpha male' doesn't help his case. People still talk about the 'rape' joke that he made on twitter.

Then I also feel like , and okay, I'm not saying this is true, its just something that crossed my mind but this whole thing could be something like Gillian Flynn's book 'Gone Girl', where (SPOILER ALERT)    Amy Dunne tried to frame her husband for her disappearance/death and in the book you read how she planned everything, paying attention to the small details. Amy Dunne had everyone fooled (well, almost everyone).

Not to mention, Christy's story seems to have holes in them.. I feel like both of them are going to try and make it seem like its the other person's fault.

There was another person with Christy when Jon cameover and that person , a male reality tv star, was also beaten up by Jon. So I guess the possibility of this being a real life Gone Girl type story is zero. But the I'm puzzled as to why this person did not call the police and why hasn't he come out and give a statement?

What upsets me about this situation is that some people seem to think that because Christy is an adult film actress, she deserves to be beaten up or that she should be used to being beat up. Whaaaat??! Are you freaking kidding me???! It is never okay to beat a girl up, no matter what she does for a living. She didn't ask for it. What she does on film is her job. I'm pretty sure before they shoot a scene the actors go through what is okay to do and what is not. Christy is still a human being, and deserves to be given fair treatment just like any other domestic violence victim.

And Christy mentioned that Jon has hit her before in the past but that they were never this bad and some people have commented that she should've left the first time he did that. I think its easy to say that but hard to do when you are in an abusive relationship. The abuse victim chooses to stay with the abuser because they love them and believe the abuser will change or sometimes it is because of fear that they still stay with the abuser.

Maybe Christy was cheating on him, maybe she wasn't. We'll never know the full details on what their relationship status was at the time and what the relationship was like, whether it was exclusive or open, but it is never right to hit a woman!

I can't imagine the pain that she must be going through, both physically and mentally. My thoughts and prayers go to her during  this tough time.
