Charlotte Tilbury Haul + Swatches

So the week that I was in Coventry, right after the Cake International, Nab and I went to Birmingham because we had set and planned to go there to go makeup shopping before we decided to go the Cake International. I remember being so tired after all the walking and excitement that I almost wanted to go back and just crash. But the shopaholic and makeup addict in me was like 'No girl, you gotta go suck it up, eat up and march towards Selfridges'.

I had some brands and products that I wanted to check out and Charlotte Tilbury was one of them but I didn't expect to get more than 2 products from them hehe. I also didn't expect Selfridges to be so packed that day oh my. There were loads of people at the Charlotte Tilbury counter and it was hard to get the attention of the MUA's/SA's .

Service was not good. The MUA/SA was so impatient to get me to the cashier while I was still looking at their products and helping Nab with which lipstick shade looked best on her, like chill out dude, I know you're swamped with customers and they're probably going to spend way more than lil' old me but CHILL OUT.

Also, she did not give me the time of day until she saw that I was ready to spend and I was not just browsing their products. There was also some miscommunication about the special box, the one where there's a little video player in it. Earlier I had asked another MUA/SA how do I get that box and she said I had to spend a certain amount to get it - which I did - and then I got to the counter and Ms. Rushy Pants is packing my stuff in the paper bag and I asked her about the box and she says I need to get the whole collection (lipstick, eye shadow palette, blusher, etc) in order to get the box.

Not impressed with customer service but oh my god, I am in love with the products itself.

Here's what I got and I also took some swatches :)

L-R : Lost Cherry and Glastonberry

This is the best picture I can take of the sweep and pop blusher, in real life you can see the colour better.

This blusher is my favorite right now. It doesn't just give my cheeks color but it also gives it a little glow and I love that.

L-R : Prime, Enhance, Pop and Smoke
This eyeshadow palette is their bestseller apparently. I ended up choosing this palette because I love my browns and 'Pop' looked gorgeous.

Below are the swatches of the lipsticks but I thought I should mention that I wore the lipsticks on different days, hence different products used on face so I'll mention what products were used - that I remember - in the caption.

Glastonberry. Please excuse my chapped lips! When I took this picture I skipped exfoliating my lips because I was running late for black friday haha.

On my cheeks I am wearing the sweep and pop blusher in Ecstasy. The glitter on my eyes is Makeup Revolution's eye foil and a post on the stuff I bought as well as swatches is on my to blog about list.

Lost Cherry

Glastonberry and Lost Cherry are matte lipsticks but they are not overly-drying ( hard to believe right what with the picture of my chapped lips of the left lol but it's true). Lost Cherry especially feels really smooth and omg the colour is so beautiful! Glastonberry felt a little heavy but it was not a huge deal for me. To be honest I thought I would be more in love with Glastonberry because that was the colour I was most excited for. I'm more in love with Lost Cherry because I was suprised at how good it actually looks on me and how smooth it applies and feels on my lips.

Till the next post!
