The end of 2014

2014 is coming to a close, and almost everyone is writing about their resolutions and goals for 2015. I haven't sat down and thought about what I want to accomplish in 2015 yet but I think just because 2014 is ending and 2015 is approaching doesn't mean I have to rush it and force myself. I do have a few things in mind of what I want to do in 2015 but I'm the type of person who likes to put their full attention and time when doing something, I don't like to half-ass things unless I really couldn't be bothered about it. 

I like setting goals - whether they are big or small - and being organized. I'll admit I'm excited for the new year because it's a fresh start and a time to make resolutions although in retrospect, a person shouldn't need to wait for the new year to come to better themselves, that should be an all round year kind of thing. That's something I have to constantly remind myself.

I feel like I have to share this on my blog because I am gagging watching this queen. She has her own gig on Wow on Youtube and there's a playlist for Alyssa's Secret. She's just so entertaining and I laugh at everything she says, from the stories that she shares, the way she tells them and her catchy phrases. I play her playlist all the time that I can quote her. I didn't watch the season of RuPaul's Drag Race that she was in so I have not idea what she was like on that show so I had no opinion of her prior to watching her on the show.

My volunteering experience with KitAid

When I have the time, I try to use it to volunteer with projects that the university has available. I usually volunteer for the one-off projects and one of the projects that I've been to more than once is Kit Aid. Kit Aid is a charity organization that collects and donates football kits to children and adults in the poorest countries in the world.

Charlotte Tilbury Haul + Swatches

So the week that I was in Coventry, right after the Cake International, Nab and I went to Birmingham because we had set and planned to go there to go makeup shopping before we decided to go the Cake International. I remember being so tired after all the walking and excitement that I almost wanted to go back and just crash. But the shopaholic and makeup addict in me was like 'No girl, you gotta go suck it up, eat up and march towards Selfridges'.

I had some brands and products that I wanted to check out and Charlotte Tilbury was one of them but I didn't expect to get more than 2 products from them hehe. I also didn't expect Selfridges to be so packed that day oh my. There were loads of people at the Charlotte Tilbury counter and it was hard to get the attention of the MUA's/SA's .

 Service was not good. The MUA/SA was so impatient to get me to the cashier while I was still looking at their products and helping Nab with which lipstick shade looked best on her, like chill out dude, I know you're swamped with customers and they're probably going to spend way more than lil' old me but CHILL OUT.

Also, she did not give me the time of day until she saw that I was ready to spend and I was not just browsing their products. There was also some miscommunication about the special box, the one where there's a little video player in it. Earlier I had asked another MUA/SA how do I get that box and she said I had to spend a certain amount to get it - which I did - and then I got to the counter and Ms. Rushy Pants is packing my stuff in the paper bag and I asked her about the box and she says I need to get the whole collection (lipstick, eye shadow palette, blusher,etc) in order to get the box.

Not impressed with customer service but oh my god, I am in love with the products itself.

I can't believe it's already December! Time sure flies, way too fast in my opinion. But what I love about December is all the christmas decorations :D 

My sister is coming to visit me which is awesome! We'll be spending christmas and new year's together so it's going to be fun. 

Moving on...
